CW-1293 Issue 4 Communication Cable Specifications
Conductor
Soil annealed tinned copper wire
Insulation
PVC compound, Type T154, formulated to meet BS 7878 standards and color-coded according to CW01293 Issue 4. LSZH can be provided on request.
Assembly
Two/Three/Four cores twisted into pair/triad/quad and stranded in layers to form the cable core or into units of 10 or 20 pairs and units and are cabled together. The cable make-up shall be as Table 3A, 3B, 3C & 3D (for laid up cable cores) & Table 4 (for Unit type of cable cores of CW-1293 issue 4. The assembly shall be covered with a non-hy-gyroscopic tape.
Screen(if required)
Aluminium Polyester Tape (0.024 mm thick) with 3% overlap and solid tinned copper drain wire (0.5 mm) for EMI shielding
Sheath
PVC Type TM 51of BS 7878 (Cream, Grey, White, Black, or Light Grey as per customer specification). Thickness as per table 3—A, B, C, D of CW-1293 issue 4. A Nylon rip cord is provided under the sheath for easy stripping. The cable overall diameter shall be as per the Table 1.
