CONDUCTOR : Solid Annealed Copper wire in sizes 0.4 mm, 0.5 mm, 0.63 mm and 0.9 mm.
INSULATION :Polyethylene, colour coded inaccordance with standard telephony industry code.

TWISTED PAIRS :Insulated Conductors twisted into pairs with varying lays to minimize crosstalk and with specified colour combinations to provide pair identification.

CABLE ASSEMBLY :10 or 20 pairs are stranded to form a group called unit. Units/Super Units make up cables of 50 pairs and above. The Interstices between pairs are filled with water resistant filling compound.

CORE WRAP : Non-Hygroscopic Dielectric Tape applied Hellically or longitudinally over cable core fully filled with filling compound.

ALUMINIUM SHIELD :Electrically continuous 0.2 mm thick aluminium tape coated with co-polymer on both sides applied longitudinally and sealed at overlap forms a moisture barrier.

SHEATH :Black LDPE with excellent environmental stress cracking resistance properties.

WATER PROOF BEDDING & ARMOUREING : Galvanised Double Steel tape applied hellically over water proof bedding.

JACKET :Black LDPE with excellent environmental stress cracking resistance properties.

IDENTIFICATION & LENGTH MARKING :Manufacturer's identification, pair count, conductor size year of manufacture are surface marked on jacket at one meter intervals
